I woke up quite a bit earlier than the other two, but that's probably because for the past week and a half I had been waking up at 8 the latest. I went downstairs, had some breakfast, pretty typical cereal, milk, toast, juice and tea. It was good. Then I took a shower then wandered into the computer room to wait for them. I gained a little respect for Blind Eye Hostel when I saw it was Ubuntu.
When everyone was up and ready, Cindy checked out and we went with her to her new hostel. We get there and she pushes on the door to find it coated in wet paint. We finally ourselves in and everyone seemed confused about the paint. Apparently the person who was painting the door was elsewhere and didn't leave up a sign. After she got cleaned off, settled in, we asked about a place to eat and they had a big book of things. He pointed out the "new old medieval pub" and decided we would go there. It was very pleasant place. I thought it was funny when the woman saw she isn't said "English?" I don't think we had said a word of English, but that was okay. We settled into a corner and ordered our food. Cindy had goulash, I had pork roast and Rachel had a cream something and we ordered a bit of Czech bread out of curiosity.
The bread was very spongy and delicious, as was our meals. We each tried each others' "traditional Czech food" and decided we liked what we had ordered for ourselves the best. We also decided to try Czech beer, the brand/ type that was recommended by one of the hostel's workers. It was moderately okay, I didn't like it that much. I just don't think I'll ever be a beer person.
After lunch we went back to Cindy's Hostel to wait on her fellow Swansea travelers. People kept getting delayed or were elsewhere so we were waiting until like 4. It wouldn't have been an issue aside from Rachel and I had to leave the next day and travel for 7 hours, so we didn't have much time. We did manage to get to a few nice places, but not the castle, unfortunately.
After we took a random turn somewhere after finding the church filled with a wedding, we found ourselves at the Parliament building. It was a very pretty building and had a wonderful garden. They also had peacocks, and what not.
We eventually oriented ourselves back toward the church and were able to go in, it was a pretty place.
After all of that, we decided we would all cook a meal together and have a good time. I cooked up some sort of ground meat, we had no idea what it was because it was in Czech, but we're pretty sure it wasn't beef. It still all tasted good in the basil sauce on the pasta. Mmm.
As Rachel and I walked home later in the evening, we decided we would wake up a bit earlier the following day and get ourselves up to the castle before we had to leave. We both reaaally wanted to go see it.
