59 - Nerd Meeting Point?

Monday was a bit of a long day, as usual. Three classes and at school from approximately 9 to 5. Although I only had class for 4.5 hours of it. I'm not sure if I've mentioned how the class scheduling works, but the school schedules in a 45 minute lunch for all of their students (although because the Mensa/ Cafeteria is small, they divide the majors), so I had a 2 hour and 15 minute break in the middle, basically. I like that they actually have a lunch time, it's convenient for students who would have 4 classes back to back otherwise.

Anyhow, Cindy stayed at home and then met up with us after classes. We all grabbed some Yufka Doeners so that Cindy could try it, and so we wouldn't have to cook. We hung out for a little while, when we decided to check out a place called FilmRiss Bar that claimed to be a nerd meeting point. Us three, being engineers/ nerds, were curious on what that meant. Of course we probably wouldn't actually talk to anyone, but it's the concept and the fact they were advertising a drink that was on fire. We wandered there sometime around 9ish, entered, had no idea what to do, none of us (I think) had been in a German bar before. It turns out that had a list/ part of the menu on the wall, under which were lots of comfy chairs. We gazed at it for quite a while having fun pulling out all the nerd references we knew. I'll list off a few of my favorite ones: Mace (Windu, I assume), Link, Miyagi, Skeletor, McGyver, De lorean, The Hoff, NCC 1701, R2D2, Kahn, Han Solo, the list goes on. The picture I took is a little fuzzy because it was fairly dark in there, but I think you can read most of it. It was a lot of fun looking over the 'menu'. I was torn between a lot of them, but, I couldn't resist Kahn. KAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHNNNN! /Star Trek. It actually wasn't that bad. Rachel, ended up getting a Kryptonite (pictured below, and pretty true to its description). It was awesome, as you can see. And Cindy Schroedinger's Cat, which was layered, the bottom being red and the top being creamy.

We ended up going home about 11 or so simply because the other two had a long and early day ahead of them. After all, it was the first day of Easter Break! I think their plan was to go to Zuerich and then Barcelona, and various other places.

I definitely think it was a nerd meeting point, and the workers were dressed as 'chic geek'/ nerdy looking.
