29.4.12 - Sonntag, Sunday
I posted a lot of blogs, that was most of my day. I might have done some homework if I hadn't finished it earlier. Added pictures to my computer, sorted through all of them, after all I had taken about 100 pictures of Schwetzigen alone... It was a major bum day, and I was a little stiff.
30.4.12 - Montag, Monday
I had planned to go to the school early that day to renew my Linear Algebra books, completely forgetting that I had received an e-mail saying that the library wouldn't be open until Wednesday. I decided that with all my extra time I would grab a bite to eat in the Mensa and then go waste time on a computer. Which really meant that I posted a blog, and attempted to get more pictures off of the Walgreens website from my aunt. It didn't help me much because I wasn't on my laptop and the quota on the school computer wasn't as gross as I would have wished it was. Hah, when I say "gross" I mean large, it's the German word for it...
My Linear Algebra class was pretty typical. Then after that was my Leseverstehen and Textproduktion. Reading Comprehension and Writing abilities. I don't feel very confident in my abilities on that one. The topic for the reading was about people who live in really old buildings or really expensive homes that the owners no longer live in, so that they can prevent others from living there and graffiti and what not while they try to sell it in the mean time. It was weird, interesting, but weird. The Writing ability part of the test was about online consumerism. I, unfortunately, was so anxious to get it all over with, I forgot to read the paragraph lead in about the top and only read the questions I was supposed to be answering. I'm not sure how it went after learning that.
Later that evening, Rachel and I decided we wanted to go out to eat somewhere and hang out for a while since the following day was the Tag der Arbeit, Day of Labor/ Labor Day, meaning we had no classes. She said she had been craving tacos for a long time so we decided to go to a place called Diablo's Tacos. I got a chicken taco and she got a pork taco. My goodness, they were great. It was really interesting how it was all put together. Instead of drizzling cheese on top it was melted into a strip and placed across the top of the soft shell taco that was grilled like a very thick quesadilla. Mmmm, that was amazing, and fairly cheap! If every we get tacos ago, it'll be from there. It was a cozy little place and the man was very kind. I didn't try any, but apparently they had some sauces that were a minimum of a habenero chili spicy and sauces well beyond law enforcement grade pepper spray. I get the name for the place now.
We came back to my place hung out and chatted about all sorts of things and may have watched a few things until like 3 in the morning. :)
