It snowed on our way in/ over so naturally, Rachel was happy with that. I was not terribly thrilled with it because it was cold, and my shoes collected snow like crazy.
Here I am all cold and rosy-cheeked with my ticket to the center! Inside the center there were three exhibits, Menschen, Erde und Kosmos. Mannking, Earth, Cosmos/Space. We made it through all of the last two, and decided not to see Menschen because we only had so much time and because it didn't interest us much.
Here are a few pictures with brief descriptions:
Rachel playing with an object that shows strain, a picture of me popping one of those rubber things and a football (soccerball) with a quote saying "Science is like football: both need head, heart, and passion." - Jens Falta, Professor for Physics
A rock that was also luminescent under blacklight, two galaxies colliding (I couldn't show 3-D here), and a picture from the Kosmos section "Dance of the Atom".
Rachel played in sand while I looked at various types of sand from all over the world. Then I decided to play with magnetic material and made a design with it!
