This day was boring, I went to class, came home did a lot of homework and then didn't know what to do with myself for 5 hours. Although, my teacher did suggest that we read out loud for at least 10 minutes a day, so I decided I would record myself doing it so I could watch it and see how poorly I did and possibly for your enjoyment! I borrowed the Brother's Grimm book so I figured I would read those and I have created a new page dedicated to this! I have not uploaded any because I was distracted by friends for the rest of the evening. I will upload a video, ASAPly!
For lunch, I had delicious Indian vegan curry. It was even better with the German Brot, bread, that I bought with it. All for only 1,55 euros. :) I was quite full for the rest of the day.
Rachel and I also decided that tomorrow, Friday, she and I would go to WaterFront shopping area and mosey around.
17.02.12 - Friday
Normal day of class aside from my massive amount of hunger, therefore me purchasing a gefuellte croissant with apricot being the filling. It was absolutely delicious, but meant I wasn't hungry for lunch. When we got to the lunch area Essen I was a flat fish with some other sides, it didn't look anywhere close to what I was expecting and Essen II was Italian pasta. Neither of us thought it was appetizing so we went home. In the middle of me eating my salad and almost tipping it on the ground, I remembered that we were supposed to renew our books that we checked-out from the Goethe Institut so we ran back to the University were there for a maximum of 5 minutes and were back on our way home. Unfortunately, that took a fair amount of time out of our plan to go to the WaterFront mall.
| Our street! Leerer Strasse. |
As we approached, a man called out to us, I didn't understand, but Rachel clarified that he was talking about the Bremen Werder's, the football team that we accidentally bought scarves for. But, nevertheless we were getting close!
| Yes, there are Claire's in Germany. |
I thought all of these were really neat. They also had beverage bottles made from chocolates, key boards, trophies, you name it, they probably had something close to it. Everything looked really cool, however, rather expensive so we left before total temptation took over. That's when we bought scarves and when I found one of my childhood's favorite store in my home away from home. Build-A-Bear.
We were finally hungry enough to eat so we headed to the food court, where we ate pizza from Pizza Hut. I realized later that Subway would have been a better deal. There was also a KFC (largest line) and a Starbuck's among the unfamiliar other restaurants. That was the third Starbuck's we had seen in this 60 or so shop place, one of which I took a few pictures of and managed to get a couple getting closer and closer and and about to kiss. Anyhow, after we ate or Pizza and listened to a ton of American music and a German artist singing in English, we purchased Gelato for ,80 a scoop, waffle cone included. I decided to get "Exotische Joghurt" and Rachel said she got a "Banane-Split" and a mint I think. This was an interesting experiences because the gelato had less sugar but was more creamy than here.
Then it was time to go. We caught a Tram back, it was dark, and a lot simpler. Also, the scarves were wonderfully warm. After all, they are "circle scarves" there is no end, and there is no beginning especially when it comes to our entertainment and enjoyment of them. Well, it started when we saw them and bought them, but anyways they're cool. Our proof of how much we liked them, we took a picture. Yeah...
More pictures here. There may be a funny face one in there...
