We had decided that we would all go to the museum and look around, see if anything was interesting. We had heard about the skull cult, which could have been interesting. We didn't know. We got to the museum and it turns out it didn't open for another 20 minutes or so, so we wandered about a little bit. We came back when it opened, bought out tickets, and made our way through the exhibits. We weren't supposed to take pictures, due to flash degrading the artifacts, but I had a camera phone that doesn't even have the ability to flash, so I took a few pictures. >_>;
(Various artifacts from all over the world, Africa, South Africa, Mexico, etc. | Skulls ranging from 4 weeks old fetus to a 38 year old person | Cool looking decor.)
(Unfortunately, I did not take pictures of the regions we were in, so you'll just have to enjoy the work and effort put into all of the following pictures)
(I like the ones with tusks | This is one of the various chairs in the exhibit, I enjoyed it | I believe these are masks that were lain over the skulls )
(More tusks! | Peek-a-boo, look above you | Facial reconstruction of the skull )
After visiting the museum, it was time for Rachel to go back to class and learn! I had nothing to do, so I played tour guide for Cindy, we wandered about, then across the Neckar and found a church! It wasn't as impressive as one might hope, so I didn't think the inside pictures were necessary here.
