77 & 78 - Studying for the Midterms & the Midterms

22.4.12 - Sonntag, Sunday

I managed to be in bed/ sleep for 10 hours, probably due to my lack of sleep from the last few days. That was a nice way to start the day off. I then needed to continue studying for my LAL (Lineare Algebra) and get the rest of my German homework done, after all I also had a Hoerverstandnis Zwischenklauser [Listening Comprehension Midterm]. After switching between the the two when I was too bored or unable to concentrate, I posted a blog, checked the weather [which was showing only fantastic things!], and probably studied more for my two midterms the following day.

23.4.12 - Montag, Monday

Got up at a some what reasonable time, ate, blah blah. I got to school early, looked over my notes some more. At 1:40, it was time for my midterm. It was in no way what I was expecting. When he said theoretical and a little bit of calculations, I wasn't expecting that. He said it would take a maximum of 40 minutes. It took me up to the last minute because I had to work a little slower, not knowing how to describe what I wanted to in German or fully understand the questions. For the first question, I felt like a fool [he went over the test right after we were done]. It asked for a "vektorprodukt", I was panicking a little because I could only remember "scalar" and "cross"product. Or maybe was scalar vektor? Anyways, I wrote down the definition of a scalar product perfectly, except my version of the test was asking for the cross product. [I knew I did it incorrectly correct because there were two versions of the test and he went over both]. That was 4/15 points off right there. *sigh*. The best part of all of this is that you only need 50% to pass and I was still in the upper ~30% of the class with a 60%. I dislike such small points on tests.

Right afterwards was my German test. I settled in, set up a sheet far better than I had for any of the practices and scribbled notes like nobody's business. I think I did pretty well on that one. I'm not sure when I will be receiving it back though because every Monday for the next few weeks (23.4, 30.4, and 9.5) would have different midterms, Reading and Writing and then Grammatik. I'm worried about the grammar, it's the hardest thing for me, and most people, it seems.

Later that night, I, of course, played more Diablo III until the Beta time expired, then went down to Rachel's for something or another.
